A Subtle Deception

   Shalom Aleichem Yisra'el;
          I recently saw a post on FaceBook that stated we can't follow the Gregorian calendar. For certain, that is true. However the rationale the post offered was because the Gregorian calendar is 'Lunar' based. 

          I challenge that. Nothing could be further from the truth. 
The Gregorian calendar IS NOT lunar-based. It is SOLAR based, and has been since it was developed by Aloysus Lilius, and unveiled, and adopted by Pope Gregory Xlll, in 1582. The original purpose was to change the date of the christian Easter; and it allowed for the 'realignment of the earth with the sun, during its equinoxes and solstices.' This is a basic research and takes less than 5 minutes:

          Now here's where the deception of haShatan comes into play.
The post clearly stated, the heavenly body Yah gave us as a sign for His Shabbats and Appointed times is SOLAR, or THE SUN. 
This is a blatant lie, and the EXACT OPPOSITE of Yah's time clock. Yah's ordained purpose for the sun was so that man could regulate his daily activities by it. IOW's so that man could do his ordained 'work'; plant, reap, harvest. Buy and sell, etc., according to the seasons of it.  Yah ordained the moon as a beacon for His Shabbats, Feasts, and Appointed Times.  

​          First, the moon was used to determine the Months/NewMoons. This is why Yah said the month of Abib was the 'beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year for you.'  Then, the sun was used to determine the seasons of, and work days within the month. This post was a subtle deception, but a deception nonetheless. It sought to beguile those who've newly come to believe that the Gregorian calendar is wrong to use as a determining factor for the commanded times of Yah. 
If you are not able to discern the lie, based on scripture, you will be misled. Remember: 'The devil is in the fine print.'

        There are quite a few places in scripture where the sun is mentioned, however they are all EVENT DRIVEN OCCURRENCES. Nowhere is the Shabbats, Feasts, and Appointed Times of Yah calculated according to the sun. All of the major events in Yisra'el's history are associated with the Shabbats, and the shabbats are associated with the Appointed Times, and all of it is regulated by Yah's Time Clock, and His Time Clock is ordained by the course of the Moon.                     ***IOW's, The sun is given to mankind to regulate his 6 days of work. The moon is given to mankind so that he can worship and honor Yah on His Set-Apart times.***

          It is righteous to turn away from the Gregorian calendar as the means by which we keep our Shabbats, and learn the significance and correct timing of the Feasts and Appointed Times; but do it for the right reason and understanding. There is enough scriptural evidence on this timeline to guide you towards the truth.

         Understand that the Gregorian calendar is not lunar based as that post stated; it is solar based. That post's doctrine is misleading, and is of haShatan. He seeks to turn you away from the significance Yah has placed upon the moon. If he is successful at doing that, then he has subverted the truth and turned you away from the one thing that can lead you back to Yah.  Yah's lunar-based calendar is, and has always been the key.

          We like to say: 'The bible is our history book.'  Well, our history book is a testament to the moon.
 
          The previously mentioned post extended an invite to come study with like minded individuals, to obtain knowledge. Remember, haShatan enticed our mother Hawwah with a similar promise.
Be very careful. Pray for discernment, and learn to study on your own; trusting that the Ruach HaQodesh will lead you to all truth and understanding.
