Before I begin, let me say that in writing this article, I am neither taking a position of pro or con, for the keeping of the Feast Days. This article is for better understanding of the correct timing of the Feast Days. There is no Law stating that you cannot learn the significance, history, and correct timing of the Appointed Times, or that you cannot teach your little ones this information. When we are re-gathered, and are in 'the wilderness;' or when Yahoshua, HaMaschiach returns, and His Millennial Kingdom is established, He will teach us how the Appointed Times are to be carried out. Until then, it might behoove us all to have oil for our lamps, and on the correct calendar.

The Mo'edim of Yahuah
By NeorahYah Germaine Yisra'el
What is a Mo'ed?
A Mo'ed (singular of Mo'edim), is a divinely 'Appointed' meeting with Yahuah. Prophetically speaking, it is a foreshadowing of events yet to come.
Why do we have so many different days and ways for keeping the Appointed Times and Feasts of Yahuah? Why does everyone appear to be doing what is right in their own eyes?
If you have read any of the other articles on this website, you should be able to surmise my answer. We have various ways of keeping Yahuah's Feasts because we are attempting to honor them according to the Gregorian calendar, the Jewish calendar, etc.
If you have learned by now how to 'Number the days', as Dawid said; the exact timing of the feast days may already be clear to you. There is no confusion (as there is now), because everyone is on the same page of the calendar, as it were. Yahuah's Calendar, that is.
When we follow Yah's Time Clock, we know how to do the weekly count for the correct Shabbat, and we know how to do the Monthly count for the New Moon, and Appointed Times of Yahuah; and both simultaneous counts become second nature. Both counts will lead to the correct dates on Yahuah's Heavenly Calendar, and we will be of one accord with our Father.
In addition to the weekly Shabbats and true New Moons, there are three Feasts that we are commanded to Set-Apart as the Appointed Times of Yahuah. They occur around the time of the Spring, Summer, and Fall Harvests and are as follows, in order:
1. Feast of Unleavened Bread - coincides with the Barley harvest, in the Spring.
2. Feast of Shavuot/ Feast of Weeks - coincides with the Second Wheat Harvest, in the Summer.
3. Feast of Cukkot/Tabernacles - coincides with the Grape, Olive, Date, and Fig Harvests, in the Autumn
Here is the Torah concerning them:
'Three times you shall keep a feast unto me in the year. You shall guard the Feast of Matstsah: (you shall eat matstsah seven days,
as I commanded you, in the time appointed of the month Aviyv; for in it you came out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
And the Feast of Shavu'ot, the first fruits of your labours, which you have sown in the field: and the Feast of Cukkot, which is in the end of
the year, when you have gathered in your labours out of the field.
Three times in the year all your males shall appear before Adonai Yahuah. You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with chamets,
neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning. The firstfruits of your land you shall bring into the house of Yahuah Elohayka.
You shall not seethe a kid in his mother's milk. ~Exodus 23:14-19~
There are also four Festivals/Memorials, as they are referred to in the scriptures. They are:
1. The Pesach - occurs the day before the Feast of Unleavened Bread. and is therefore associated with it.
2. Firstfruits - associated with the Pesach, Feast of Unleavened Bread, and Shavu'ot.
3. Yom Teruah - The Day of the Awakening Blast. The resurrection of the dead.
4. Yom Kippuriym - Twenty-four hours of Shabbat Rest for Affliction and Contemplation.
The Spring Feasts give testimony of Yahuah's deliverance of Yisra'el from out of the bondage of Egypt; and of His provision for them during their wanderings.
The Fall Feasts are a foreshadowing of future prophetic events. The Feast of Sukkot, reflects the expectation that Yisra'el will give thanks to Yahuah for His bountiful harvests, and acknowledge that, Yahuah Yireh. It proclaims that Yahoshua, HaMashiach will come to earth one day,
build his sukkah and dwell among us.
The testimony and witness of Yahoshua, HaMaschiach, in both his first and second comings, is clearly evident in all seven Mo’edim.
On this website, the Feast Days will be presented from the point of view of Yahuah's Heavenly Calendar. The Gregorian calendar is not, nor has it ever been, a factor in determining the Appointed Times of Yahuah. NASA's designation of the new moon is not, nor has it ever been, a determining factor in the eyes of Yahuah.
The required understanding for accurately counting the days, is provided in the scriptures, and on this website.
In review it is:
1. There are two simultaneous counts.
A. The Weekly count of 1 through 7, towards the Shabbat.
B. The Monthly count of 1 through 29 -30 days, towards the Full Moon.
2. The true New Moon (which will appear Full), determines the beginning of the next month, not the dark, conjuncted moon.
Everything that is mentioned in Scripture proceeds from these two truths. There is no commandment (that I am aware of), prohibiting the study of the things Yah has declared a statute throughout our generations. The desire of this website is that Yisra'el will endeavor to learn the beauty and significance of Yahuah's Appointed-Times.
Whether you choose to observe the Feast Days, or not, is your personal choice.
