Scriptures Concerning The Nature Of The Sun, The Moon, and The Stars
'When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of YAH shouted for joy?'
Genesis 1: 14-18
'And YAHUAH said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for
seasons, and for days, and years:
And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
And YAHUAH made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
And YAHUAH set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and YAHUAH saw that it was good.'
'And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven,
shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the YAHUAH, thy ALAHIM hath divided unto all the nations under
the whole heaven.'
'And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is this not written in the
Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.'
'They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.'
'The heavens declare the glory of YAH; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hathe he set a tabernacle for the sun,
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.'
'To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth forever:
The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth forever:
The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth forever.'
'He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.'
'Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light.'
'The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.'
'Behold, the day od YAHUAH cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners
thereof out of it.
For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon
shall not cause her light to shine.'
'Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned
ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.'
Ezekiel 32: 7-8
'And when I shall put thee out, I will coveer the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark: I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon
shall not give her light. All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith YAHUAH.'
'And it waxed great, even to the hosts of heaven, and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.'
'The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.'
'The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.'
'But you have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and CHiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.'
'The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.'
'Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from
heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:'
'Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away
1 Corinthians 15:41
'There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differth from another star in glory.'
'The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the
seven churches:and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.'
'And the stars of heaven fell onto the earth, even as a fig tree castest he untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.'
Revelation 8: 10-12
'And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers,
and upon the fountains of the waters;
And the name of the star is called Wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars;
so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.'
And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.'
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was
ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.'
Again, applying no preconceived notions upon the text; how do you imagine a newcomer to the scriptures would view the heavens, the earth; and
the sun, and moon, and stars, based on what you've read here?
